The part has been ordered from 2 different dealers. The one dealer says 10 to 15 business days from Germany. That would make it over a month for a $20 part. Ridiculous.

As a side note, my wife and I both just tested positive for Covid. Fortunately only minor cold like symptoms.

Well fawk!! That's crappy man, sorry to hear that. I tested positive but the only symptom I had was body aches....lasted two days then I felt fine. That was a few weeks ago and I've felt fine ever since. I have kept to myself though and always had a mask on if I did have to go out

The body shop I have a plan. If the part doesn’t come in this week, they are going to put the car together without that part. Then when or if the part comes in, they will remove the bumper, install the part, recalibrate the sensor and replace the bumper. He will work with me on the extra cost of taking the bumper off and on again.
I will sign a waiver on the liability of the body shop to the blind spot not working. I may eventually go after MBUSA in small claims court. They sell the cars in the US. They have responsibility to have parts available. I understand the supply chain issue, but they should be able to get a $25 part.
The color match looks fantastic! But sorry to hear about the bumper alignment.
Are you planning on fixing it or just letting it go?
I have an appointment, the week after next. Where the side meets the fender is also off. Can’t tell by the pictures but the taillight and bumper are flush on one side. On the driver’s side the bumper protrudes about 4 or 5 millimeters past the taillight.

Sorry 4 millimeters. I’m in the US. Plus you can see the edge of the bumper. They claim they may be able to fix it while I wait. They haven’t seen it. I’m no DIY person. I suspect that when the car was hit that part got shifted. They wouldn’t even have noticed it when the bumper was off. But should have been spotted once the bumper was back on.

Total was $2447. Only 2 parts. Except for paint. The sensor and sensor bracket. The bracket took almost 4 weeks. I also ordered a bracket. That arrived the day after they received theirs. So I have an extra one. Part number 2058853104.;

I had the back adjusted yesterday. At least both sides match.
Both sides match now. Don’t know if it’s factory looking now , but it’s close.
