AMG GT63 seats to W205, coding?

Hello MBWorld,

Got a nice deal and bought seats as shown from auction to my regular C180 W205. I believe they are AMG GT63 ones although they don't have AMG "stamps" in head rest. They bolt in to W205 chassis without any modifications and even connectors are same. Only problem is that they give SRS malfunction warning. If I plug old seats back the airbag lights goes off. Does anybody know can this be solved just with coding or do I need any additional parts?

I think those are from the a class. Always tricky using seats from an other type of chassis

Those are the AMG Performance Seats, and they can be optioned on pretty much all AMG models. There are some variations to them as in some models such as the GT 4-door and 2019+ C63 they can be had with ventilation, but in other models they only come with heating. I love those seats, have them in my C63S coupe with heating and ventilation. As far as retrofitting goes, though, I've not heard of a successful case, even in an AMG if it didn't come with them from the factory. Nobody as far as I know has been able to get them coded. Likely requires factory tools and not sure if the non-AMG W205 can even be coded for them, because AMGs run different software on some modules. If you can find a coding expert, you may be able to get them working, but at the moment you don't have working side airbags.
