Recently I decided to install the OEM ambient lighting on my 2016 GLC (posting here, because the wiring and parts are the same, but more members here).
Backstory is that the previous owner of this car fixed it after a vandalism event - a lot of the interior parts were change, one of which is the console. However the ambient lighting is working on door panels (all the controls and everything work). Now I bought a used center console with ambient lighting and could not find the socket for ambient lighting on the car behind the console.
This is how the ports behind the console look:
The part outlined in blue is used for the console command buttons. So I am missing an input port for my ambient lighting (outlined in green below).
Can anyone recommend me how I can find a part number for these wiring harness or maybe a specific part or even some instructions on what has to be done? I assume I will need to disassemble the whole panel and change the to a wiring harness which supports ambient lighting? Please correct me if I am wrong.
