Car suddenly changing gears at high revs (3000rpm)
Hi all. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. My C220 bluetec 2015 suddenly started shifting gears at high revs. Also noticed in won't go into Manual when I use the flaps nor will it change manually until it reaches 2500rpm (approx) minimum. Any ideas what could be causing this? My first thought is the dpf filter. Thanks in advance

No engine lights on.
I did speak to the seller and they have advised that it’s a software update which he will try and arrange.
The seller is a genuine honest trader so I’m confident he’ll get to the bottom of it. Will post the fix on here should it work

Did you manage ti solve it?
I have a W212 of 2013 and it happens daily that car changed gears in high revs. When it does that I can’t speed up (no power) and can’t change gears manually.
MB specialist understands nothing since scanning shows nothing.
Please let me know if you managed to solve it

Same problem
Hi guys, I have the same problem with my W212 E350. I scanned the car at independent MB garage and it showed code 11DA00: the lower limit value of component "B28/8 (DPF differential pressure sensor)" has not been reached. I'm booked to have the sensor replaced in three weeks. The mechanic said that changing gears at high RPM is probably the cause of the issue, as the gearbox is forced to slow down when changing gears, and the car tries to heal by revving high and increasing the temperature in the DPF to clean it up.
