Fuel consumption C250(W205) - Australia
Hi guys I’m in Sydney Australia and lately I was talking to a mate and found my car is eating my a lot of petrol. I use 98 unleaded the best in Australia for petrol. I get 13 l/100km in city driving and highway which is very rare is 10 l/100km. I drive mostly in Comfort. I went through service B recently and got no issues with my car.
is this normal? Or my mate is just scaring me. I looked at the advertisement from Mercedes’ for C250 it’s much less.

My C300 2018 consumption is usually 10L/100km with 98 for my normal routine. It really depends on your driving behaviour and route. My daily trip is 10km, 30km/h average speed, urban driving. For peak hour, it usually hits 12L/100km. For road trips, it goes down to 7L/100km, average speed 80km/h.

Thank you mate. It seems Mercedes got it all wrong. The advertisement says we should get 6 L/100km. I usually drive urban 25km/hour and get 12-13 L/100km. For longer trips it comes down to 10 L/100km.
The C250 does it have more powerful engine than C200? I know torque is more. I’m almost reaching 60,000km should I think of selling the car as some friends are saying C class 2015 devalues with lots of issues after 60k km driving.
I’m happy with my car added lots of extras and no mechanical issues. Just need your opinion.

Mine is a C200 AMG line. It does 9L/100 km. I am happy with my car's consumption. I think 13L/100 km is a lot for a C250. Its not like your driving a C63. Have a look in this thread noone mentioned your number.
