C400: Coolant change procedure?

Has anybody done this DIY? It seems like the MB spec'd procedure is ridiculously complicated for the sake of avoiding air locks (which I admit is admirable...sorta).

Does anyone have a simpler "drain and refill" technique?

havnt done it yet. MB interval is 150k miles. how many you have on the C400?
A few have done the intercooler when upgrading to larger units.

Change interval isn't *ONLY* mileage based.

If you go to the manufacturer website of pretty much any pink HOAT coolant, they specify 5 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

My wife's car has never had the coolant replaced and it's a 2015, so it's overdue, even though it has 93,000 miles.

https://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/Digital...nce_manual.pdf

shows 155k miles or 15 years for c class coolant change. 100k id prob consider changing mine since i want max performance, but im only at 62k so i have some time. The wifes ML has 110k and i dont plan on changing it.

I mean, you do as you see fit.

G-40 coolant is a lot cheaper than a radiator or water pump.

I'll change mine at 5 years like the BEVO authorized fluid makers recommend. Here in Maryland our annual highest and lowest ambient temps have a +90F range so I'd prefer the additive pack and heat transfer/anti-freeze properties be at their optimal level.
