Thought I would share a couple of pics of a small subwoofer that I added. I wanted to add some thump, but not the kind that rattles trunks or can be heard from a block away. Just some bass for those of us inside to feel and get the party started on the way to the party.
While it gets the job done, in hindsight, I would probably add a 12” subwoofer in a regular enclosure in the trunk and just turn the bass down to the desired level. This one provides just enough on high and only when placed inside the vehicle. It’s an 8” Kicker with built in amp. Also, the speaker is in a place where someone sitting in that seat can perfectly straddle it. It just wasn’t strong enough to put in the trunk as I could barely feel the bass.
I feel the stock audio system still auto adjusts volume and I hate this, but haven’t figured out a way to disable that feature. I have stock sound system btw.
