Braking/Wheel Noise
Hi all,
I’ve been getting a catching noise coming from the passenger side wheel and vibrations when braking in the steering wheel and pedal, anyway..
I had the brake pads and discs changed a couple of months ago and had to get them replaced 2 days ago as the previous garage hadn’t sanded down the bearing!!
The vibration has gone now. I’m still in the bedding in process but the same noise of catching is coming and I just don’t know what it could be. The calliper isn’t seized or stuck, pins are all fine etc..
The brake pads and discs are brand new, not sure what else it could be??
The tires aren’t old either they’re a few months old with 6-7mm tread and look and feel fine.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

As a Certified Knowledge Manager (from days gone by), I worked to help organizations capture, retain, and used organizational knowledge to improve individual and organizational performance. One well-know KM tool is the checklist. Pilots, surgeons, machine operators all use checklists (if they are good at their jobs) every time they fly a plane, open a skull, or start a machine. Did these Master Mechanics use a checklist?
The point being, even an expert in his or her field will rely on a checklist to do their job, even when doing 2nd nature type activities. These guys could have made a mistake. Curious to hear what they find.
