Question Luxury vs Avantgarde vs AMG Line

Hi Mercedes owners, new here,

I want to buy a used w205 Mercedes, and wondering if there is any difference in comfort level between the luxury, avantgarde and amg line.
My focus is comfort, tested out an amg line one and it seemed a bit rough to me

Found this online:
and at the end of the video, it says that comfort ones have the suspension tuned for comfort. Wondering how big are the differences and if you can feel the difference.

Thanks for reading this

Yes there is actually differences between amg line and the other two you mentioned, amg line you get more sporty brakes and different suspension tuning (iirc, the suspension itself is different too) So you should pink the base or luxury model. The night package is basically sport package (amg line) but with chrome blacked out.

Thanks, that's helping.

After looking for prices, I've noticed that the E class has similar price ranges just it may be 1 year older but similar millage. I guess E class is a big step over C class comfort level?

I personally have a W205 C and family members and many friends that have an E. I have to agree especially if you have air body control although it is very comfortable without air body control. My C is sporty tuned (C 43) so it is not a fair comparison but I test driven... Oh yes the key word (I would want you to test drive both to see if you like either). I test driven multiple different C 300 pre-facelfit or facelift and it is hard for it to beat an E 450 in my opinion in terms of comfort.

Suspension handling ability and ride comfort are always a fine balance and I think Mercedes does a great job trying to find that middle ground... but a W205 is not known for great suspension comfort and that is a side-effect of also having good "sporty" handling from the factory.

If your priority is comfort, the best configuration you can get in the W205 is either the AIRMATIC or Luxury suspension with the 17" wheel option and tires with the tallest and square with the rim edges sidewalls (without going beyond the factory-supplied tire O.D.).

I think anything beyond that is going to diminish ride comfort but will gain in handling performance.

Getting one with Airmatic may be a bit over my budget and from what I read is that they are not that reliable (they tend to break from time to time).
Since I'm looking for comfort I probably better look into an E class (prices are similar)
