Fuel Economy on W205 C300 4MATIC Facelift
Hi all, I'm not getting anywhere near rated highway mpg on my 2021 C 300 4MATIC.
It's rated 23/27/33. I've driven 11000 miles so far, and I'm averaging 25.3 mpg (American) overall. But that's not what I'm complaining about. My issue is with the highway driving, long distance. Even on these road trips where it's predominantly highway driving I only average a little over 31 mpg, when the rating is 33.
For context, I was leasing a 2019 A 220 4MATIC before this, which was rated at 34 highway, and I used to easily get 35, 36 if I drove conservatively. This week, I got a 2022 GLB 250 4MATIC (yes, that boxy non-aerodynamic SUV) loaner for a couple of days, rated at 30 mpg highway, and I easily exceeded it driving conservatively, getting a little over 31 mpg.
How am I not even coming with 1 mpg of the rated highway mileage of my C-Class, let alone exceed it? Yes, of course all comparisons above have been made driving on ECO mode, with 91 octane premium fuel. The intent of this post is to gather feedback from others asking how you are faring with your facelift C300s, because mine's giving about as much as a box-shaped SUV.
