2016 Mercedes C300 w205 Fan Stuck on High
2016 Mercedes C300 w205
a/c wasn't blowing cold so I noticed the external temperature was at -40 degrees on the dash, replaced the external temperature sensor and now the car reads the temperature perfect on the dash 70 degrees immediately. The minute I plugged in the new oem external temperature sensor I noticed the radiator fan started up very loudly and stays on high permanently when the car is on. The fan never turned on high before I put in the new external temperature sensor. There are no changes or overheating in the engine temp stays the same temperature as before I put in the external temperature sensor but fan still stuck on high. I see this is a common problem for Mercedes cars just weird how the fan got stuck on high once I replaced the external temp sensor.
I do have fault code P0533-00 the refrigerant pressure sensor has a short circuit to positive, I see online many people change the refrigerant pressure sensor and that fixes the fan issue, also was thinking about refilling the a/c refrigerant before changing the refrigerant pressure sensor in hopes that fixes the problem. Thanks for all your help in advance
