Please help identify this part
Hello all,
2018 C350we here that went into the dealership for a yellow “Malfunction” warning in which the E-Mode (hybrid car) stopped working. A search leads to many folks saying it’s a failed starter motor. My local dealer, MB of Valencia, sent me a video of my initial inspection and saw cut wiring on the driver’s side under panel, to the left of the tranny. Can someone help identify the part? Haven’t had any issues at all until the Malfunction which occurred last week. Just a little suspicious that all of a sudden there’s ‘cut wires’ but I really have no proof of them doing it. Thanks

Is this car still under warranty?
What did the mechanic tell you is the problem? I watched the video but didn't listen to the narrative.
They should tell you the problem and recommend a solution.

The warranty ran out last month but I have an extended 3rd party warranty. They haven’t yet called me back to tell me what the issue is but I’m expecting a call sometime this week. I’m hoping that whatever it is is covered by my extended warranty
