Comand Headunit Replacement
My screen suddenly went off and never came back to me. Try to tear it down the centre console and check all the connections. No luck. I am thinking to bug a exactly same unit from eBay, will it plug and play? Thanks

This is a common problem. In another thread it would seem that removing the Satellite radio fixed the problem. Some others have had it flashed by MB while others have had to have the command replaced by MB.
One thing is that it's normal for most including myself. Seem to boot right up when it does happen by going in reverse. I have all the updates and it still happens and I just learned to live with it but hopefully it does not just die.
One thing that helps sometimes it reset the full car which is by press turning the car off, leave the drive door open, remove the keys and make sure that they 10 meters away. Then come back and press the brakes for 2 minutes, then after that, disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 30 minutes.
After all this, reconnect the battery, get the keys and start that car but don't drive it for 2 minutes. After that, everything should work but you will need a week of driving to get the transmission back on track.
