New w205 owner with few questions (battery, trunk, spare tire)

Hi guys, I recently purchased 2019 c220d from Germany and I have a few quesitons.

First I thougt ex owner did something until I watched a bunch of videos with all the cars being same, is it possible and for what reason would mercedes not put the lining on the roof of the trunk(inside), it's all metal

This looks ridiculous.

Second quesitons is about spare, I have the puncture kit, dont have run flats, but most of the time I get puncute, which is almost every year, is when sidewall gets slashed, like with a knife. Lovely pothole fill roads here. Besides space saver tyres that take half the boot which I need, no modifications to fit it underneath, where that ridicilous plastic box goes?
And now I'm not even sure if there's point putting tyre key and lift if I cant change a tire lol.. sure i can use the plug or spray if its something small but for sidewall stuff... no luck here?

And lastly, car came with lovely 12v battery warning, stop car and let it run to recharge. Well I did that for hours and its still on, had my assisted breaking disabled because of it. I'm assuming this is a battery issue, weird it already died but ok, I see in settings alternator is charging it and keeping 14.8v iirc, everything works fine except constant error message and assisted breaking. Im going to electrician tomorrow to see if battery keeps charge after being disconnected, run the diagnostic etc. If i read correctly, I just need correct battery type and reset health with sam and good to go, no programming? I assume auxiliary battery isnt an issue because it would mention it instead of 12v right?

Not great first day with the car but overall I'm happy

Oh and I just remembered, I have 18 inch wheels, as I need to get new winter tires I noticed front has 225 45 18 mounted and reqr 245 40 18, is this correct factory sizing? I figured I'd get 4 the same size but maybe not? Also half tempted to just buy another set of wheels just for winter tires

Hi I dont have the same lining as your trunk. Something is missing in your trunk.
I Bought a space saver nonplace to fit it because the car came with run flat tyres. Our German engineers should have gave us a space to place the space saver if the owner decided to replace the run flat tyres.
your battery is weak. You need to replace it. Do you drive the car often? Long distance?

inside the B pillar or the gas cap cover will show what size came on the car. Different for front and rear is a possibility. Staggered.

Idk maybe it deoends on spec or something, I watched 10 w205 facelift videos on yt and all were like this, weird but oh well.

And yeah battery doesnt hold charge, I did some measurements, alternator charges it but it loses charge quickly after its off getting new one soon. And I just picked up a car and drove it the whole day, think it was sitting at the dealer since august so that probably didnt help. At least it drives and turns on

As for spare, I'll have to think about it, I need trunk space but also i do have roadside assistence that would help hm.. we'll see

The B pillar, inside the driver’s door should have the sizes.

Strange, I wonder if the sticker got damaged and removed by the previous owner? Alternatively you could post your VIN (or DM someone with it if you don't want to post it publicly) and someone with access to Mercedes' electronic part catalogue can pull up your vehicle's specific information.

battery and tire size.

I had that same problem with my battery. mercedes will try to have you keep car on to get battery up to the 13.2 volts it is programmed to recognize. I had a battery that was 4 years old amd as soon as I changed it out that went away. I also noticed that with the old almost dead battery, (12.7 volts) my car would not do the auto off engine option at traffic lights, as it didn't have enough juice to do so. as soon as I got the new battery, it worked again.
as far as tures, a lot of mercedes have what they call "staggered" wheels, which means usuall wider lower profile in the rear for better handling, as mercedes are mostly rear wheel drive vehicles. you can change them so they are all the same, I did it with my 2004 c230 kompressor and it was fine. also makes it easier to rotate tiress and have tried life last longer. hope this helps

My answer to The second question…not very elegant

you probably asked your self about the pro and cons. I decided this is the solution for me when I was dragged out from home to where the car was waiting to be rescued…
about the tires, my car has one size tires.
the last thing, about hazard lights and start/stop button that did not work, all disappeared when I changed the battery to a new start/stop battery. I would advise you to chance the battery.

Thanks yall, yeah changing the battery fixed most of the issues, except the assist breaking one, the module is dead... the one in the bumper and it's very pricey to repair I kind of don't need it anyway so I'm postponing it and just exiting the error when I start the car.
