W 205 Steering Rack
Hi Guys, I own a 2019 facelift w 205. Bought it on 32K KM and I own it for about a 1 year and a half. Since I bought it I have problems with the steering rack and my official dealer here in Sofia Bulgaria changed the rack 3 times already. Two weeks ago I picked up the car from the dealer after the 3 rack was changed and today I can hear the same knocking sound while I gently turn the steering wheel. 1 year of warranty left but I'm tired of constantly having issues with the rack. On rougher roads you can hear the steering rack knocking even harder, every time before the dealer changes the rack they tighten it, it's better for a couple of days but afterwards the problem appears again. Wonder if I should drive it that way but for how long until it gets worse. Thinking of selling the car, so sad...
Anyone have any ideas of resolving this problem? I heard there are a stronger steering racks for eastern Europe since our are roads are not that good.
