Got a 2019 C300 but the system is basic. Door speakers and one center dash. If I wanted to upgrade to Burmester or one with subs, I’d it plug and play or do I need to have coding done. Also will I need different panels or will the current ones work?

It's not plug and play. You'd have to install wiring and upgrade the full system since there is also an AMP under the passenger seat for the Burmester system.

 

You wouldn’t know what type/ kind of wiring I would need would you?. I saw a used system for $500 I was going to get.

 

My Burmester amp is in the trunk, passenger side, behind the trim.

 

Audiotec Fischer has all the cables, amp and speakers for a plug and play MB install.

opened the center dash grill today and there's a speaker there and one under the steering wheel. are those suppose to be working or is that something the mercedes have to activate??

The one in the centre of the dash is used solely for SOS function unless you have Burmester option in which case it's also used as a centre channel.
The one under the steering wheel is for beeps and chimes from the instrument cluster only and has no direct connection with any multimedia.
