Android Auto problem on W205 2019 - no voice for OK Google
Hi,
I'm sorry, I'm French, so, it's possible that my English is not perfect.
I bought a 2019 Mercedes S205 last year, particularly for its Android Auto compatibility. However, since I got it, it has a problem. Waze and the other apps work almost perfectly, but when I try to use OK Google, I get no sound feedback.
You can see in these videos my problem (sorry, it's in French, but you can ear the problem and appreciate French accent ;-) )
Here is how it works in my car:
Same phone, but in another 2019 Mercedes like mine:
Ok Google seems to hear my instructions well, but Google's voice remains inaudible.
So there is a defect on my computer (at least the part related to Android Auto).
Recently, my Mercedes dealership had the complete audio module changed, nothing changed. However, I tested with 4 different phones:
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 10T
- Google Pixel 6
-Xiaomi 12 Pro
All are in the list of compatible phones: https://www.mercedes-benz-mobile.com...e/~androidauto
All of these phones work in several other vehicles that I have been able to test. Any idea where the problem could come from?
Regards
Guillaume

This may sound silly, but have you tried turning up the volume? While Google Assistant is speaking, turn up the volume. That will specifically turn up the volume for speech recognition. I have experienced in the past that for some reason the volume is all the way turned down and then I don't hear anything from CarPlay etc. When you use the regular COMAND voice recognition, can you hear the instructions?

Yes, I already tried it, but don't works. When I use regular COMAND voice recongnition, I can hear instructions. And if I try with Apple phone, I can hear instructions. It's only when I use Android phones.
