Replace Door Lock/Unlock switch & Center Console Trim

Hello everyone,

A few quick questions, Is there a replacement for the door lock/unlock switch for the W205 model, I have only seen them for the W204 model, as well as maybe a how-to video on how to replace it. As well as for the trim on the center console there is some bubbling on mine, and I would like to replace just the trim if possible without having to purchase a whole new piece. I need to know where to get both of these if possible, as well as how-to videos on doing them if anyone could help, that would be much appreciated.

Door Lock Controls:
Should be easy to order an original part from a Mercedes dealer. Non original copies are available on eBay also, or you might find used switch modules in good condition also on eBay.

Fitment should not be too difficult. You can remove the door card, by
1) unscrewing a couple of Torx screws located under the armrest of the door.

2) use an interior trim tool to prise the lower portion away from the door and then work your way up the sides.

3) unhook the top portion by lift the door card up and away from the door.

Alternatively if you want a quick fix. You can get sliver plastic covers that can be stuck on top of the original buttons, again available on eBay.

Centre Entertainment Controls:
This is complete unit including the touch pad, control wheel, and volume knob etc. so it will be very expensive from a main dealer. You might find a second hand one on eBay, but will be difficult to find and again won’t be cheap.

Alternatively you could potentially remove the module and detach the trim piece. Sand it down and spray if gloss black, (your unlikely to match the existing satin metal finish with spray paint).

To remove the module you need to prise off the satin silver trim piece that contains the button to open the central compartment between the front seats. It is VERY difficult to do this without breaking the clips on this trim piece.

Once removed it exposes two Torx screws that hold down the rear of the centre console. When unscrewed, you can start to lift it from the rear and then work your way forward towards the central air vents.
Be careful as you need to disconnected several electrical plugs before it can be removed fully.
