Squeaking noise from Steering wheel
I have had my 2018 Mercedes Benz c300 base sedan since 2021. Whenever I start driving my car for the first time for the day, the car is pretty quiet. After about 30 minutes of driving the steering wheel starts to make a squeaking noise everytime I turn the sterring wheel either left or right. If I stop the car and turn off engine, the steeribf still squeaks. If I leave the car off for an hour or so, when I turn it back on , no squeaking until after 20-30 minutes of driving. I have sprayed wd40 on the steering wheel column. Does anyone have an idea of what is causing this to happen? Attached a small video of the noise from the steering wheel.

As for if the sound is coming from outside the vehicle, it may be the ball joint, you could try washing the car and see if it stops if not you you can try greasing it or just replace it altogether.

sorry to bring back an old thread, did you manage to get it fixed? I've had the same issue, change a new steering column and the sound is still there after driving for approximately 40mins. weird thing is it happens only when it's hot.
