Question How to hardwire a USB port for a dashcam? 2019 C300

Long story short, I got into a KickStarter (yeah, I know, never again) for a dashcam and the specs said it was USB powered. TWO PLUS years later when it finally showed up, it had a wire (shown below) and said it had to be hardwired because standard USB wasn't enough (for a dashcam?!?). I tried a number of 12V to USB adapters with no success.
This may be second nature for this group, but would anyone have direction to do that? Would it connect to the fusebox in the passenger side foot area (2nd image)? Or another location? Thanks for any help. ...And don't buy Dride. Not well-thought out and so many shortcomings.
