So i just had my w205 throw the following code. I contacted my mechanic and he instructed me to take it to the dealership as it is covered under some type of extended warranty. I called MB to verify and they stated i need to bring my car in for diagnosis prior to checking anything. So I plan on taking it in tommarrow. The code is for a crankcase ventaliation valve. Does anyone have any experience with MB covering the cost?
Hi, I just had this on Monday and got my car back yesterday. It is fully covered under warranty, plus you should have gotten a notice that this is covered under the 15 year 150K extended warranty because Mercedes knows the part breaks. I have a CPO warranty on my 18, but it would have been covered under the letter extension anyway.
I can confirm the dealer fixed for free. I never received a letter in the mail. However i did some research on this forum and it looks like a lot people were charged close to 3k for this repair.
Can you please post a copy of the letter you received from MB advising of this 15 year/150K mile extension in warranty. We never received a letter as we are second owners. BTW also understand there is any extension in warranty 10 yr/100K for fuel rails. Thanks in advance

I went in a few weeks ago and they confirmed it's covered for me under the new 15 year/150k extended coverage. The problem is that the part is on backorder and there's zero visibility into when they'll be able to get the part/fix my car.
