C300 4matic base tail lights
Hello all,
I just recently purchased a 2018 C300 4matic sedan. It has the base halogen headlights and accompanying taillights. I have been trying to solve a mystery since I first noticed something strange. The taillights have a separate amber bulb for the turn signal, like in the front. When the 4-way flashers are on or when the turn signals are on, I would expect that the amber bulb would be the lamp flashing, however, they have never done so. Instead, the LED portion of the taillight flashes for 4-ways and turn signal. The owner's even manual says that the amber bulb is the turn signal and provides instruction on how to replace it. I am confused. Can anyone shed light on this mystery?
Thanks,
Brad
