harsh gear changes

Hi All. I am having problem almost in all driving mode where the gear changes 1-2-3 are very harsh and you feel this even strongly when driving in sport, S+ mode. I am pasting below the car's video. Can you please have a look and advise? Thanks

I don't see any harsh shifting in that video. Looks like a pretty normal 1-2-3 shift. It does look like you are taking off somewhat spirited given that it holds 1st all the way to 4k rpm, but then I'm guessing you are easing off the throttle, so the 2-3 shift comes quickly as you signal it to settle down with easing off the throttle. I know there's no shortage of transmission complaints around here, but these transmissions do adapt to one's driving style.

One thing that does stick out is the fact that it takes off in 1st while in Comfort mode. What year and engine is your car? 7-speed or 9-speed? My understanding is that in Comfort mode most non-AMG models start in 2nd gear for a smoother more comfortable off the line start. 1st gear is only used in S and S+.

Thank you for your response. My car is 2.0 4 Matic 2016 W205 AMG line 7G tronic.
Gear change between 2nd and 3rd is very quick and you feel this when change happens in Comfort mode. In sport, S+ mode - when you press gas strong, you feel very uncomfortable gear changes 1-2-3. In other word, it feels like car stops during these gear changes, or reach very bad

None of this really sounds unusual. What cars did you drive before? A C Class won't shift as butter smooth as an S Class. That's intentional to some extent. A C Class is smaller, nimbler and sportier than an S Class. Assuming you are not the first owner, you may consider resetting the transmission adaptations, so it can start fresh and learn your driving style instead of having learned the driving style of the previous owner(s). You can google online, it's a sequence of pressing the gas pedal while stationary for your generation of car, or you can take it to a dealership and ask them to do the reset.

Also, depending on the mileage, given the age, there is also a certain level of wear and tear. The transmission will wear over time, so that's another factor to consider. At some point, the clutch packs need to be replaced. I'm not really familiar with what the transmission maintenance schedule is for non-AMG models, but has the fluid ever been changed or have you at least checked the fluid level and the condition of the fluid? Have it checked for metal shavings, which would indicate that there's a mechanical issue internally.
