I stupidly used tar remover on my C class door panel trying to remove some white dots. The chemical seems removed a layer of paint or protection on the panel material, leaving some unpleasant discoloration. I am not sure what material is on this panel, it's soft but not like the usual leather on the seat. The damaged part feels rough to touch, the other normal areas feel smooth and almost slippy.
Any suggestions on how to repair this? Appreciate the help.
