Removing cv axles, the passenger side came out easy but I can’t get the driver side out. The splines closest to the engine won’t come apart. Any tips or tricks? 2016 c300 4matic with 49k miles

You will need to pull on it hard or get a pull hammer to get it out. There is a locking clip on the inside which locks in "you will see this on the new CV shaft". You are trying to break that clip bond in order to remove it.

How did you make out? Were you able to get the axle out? Have to do mine and am worried about getting into the same bind!
