Piece fallen off
Hi all, need some help identifying what this part is. I was on the motorway and heard some weird noise coming from near front left tyre so pulled over and this piece fell out from the underside but no idea what it could be. Is anyone able to confirm?

Doesn't look like a splashguard I seen but it is too muddy to not be, is there not a part number on it?

Hmmm, muddy... any chance it has to do with the wheel wells?
