Power steering malfunction error code
2018 c300 4 matic with under 34k miles. One day went to drive and the message popped up. Can’t move the steering very well. No leaks. Tested battery at auto zone and passed. Check fuses, no issue. Towed car to dealer. They recommend replacing steering rack @$7000. Wtf. Car has been in no accidents, no bottom scraping etc. why would I need to replace the rack at 34k miles??? I asked them if they tested ALL fuses but they said it threw up error codes. So I need to replace rack. Anyone else experience this??
