So we just purchased a black C300 2016 with 85k miles on it and could use some suggestions. We brought it to the auto mechanic got the oil changed and they said it has a cracked spring coil in the rear. Theres a whistling noise in coming from the front when driving and they said its the front rotors need replacing. They wanted to order and replace the cracked spring coil it but how can I check if they are giving me a good price? Also coud I get a better aftermarket coil spring and give it to them to install? Im open to upgrading if they is a way to improve rear ones? Right now the ride is rough and ver bumpy and we are on rough city roads. Making the ride smoother would be amazing. Also I think I need to get new floor mats, where are some good places to order this and other things like this on my own? I will also need to replace brake pads and rotors soon (the whistling gets annoying when not playing music, is the are an upgraded after market part I can buy? What are some simple suggestions you would have to first buy for a newly purchased car? Tires as well, really dont know where to look but want to get some excellent all weather tires when the current ones are used up (maybe t6 months or so.)? Im curious as to how long I should expect engine and tranny to last and there fore this car. I want to put a little money into it to keep it in good condition for 3-4 more years or so assuming the big pieces will keep working. Thanks ahead of time for all suggestions!
