Hello everyone,

After discovering the tuning potential of my 2018 Mercedes C350e (278 hp to ~350 hp and 600 NM to ~660 NM), I decided to go for it. From what I know, the C350e uses the same M274 engine as the C200 and C300 models. I installed a cold air intake, a high-flow downpipe, and took it to a reputable tuning shop.

They installed the tune via the OBD port, and everything worked perfectly. The power increase was noticeable. However, when I went to refuel, I realized the button to depressurize the fuel tank and open the fuel flap no longer worked.

I should also mention that I use a lowering module connected to the OBD port for adjusting ride height. The controller doesn’t stay connected all the time, but I’m wondering if this could have caused or contributed to the issue.

I took it back to the shop, but they said they've tuned 9 other C350es without encountering this issue. The only similar case they mentioned was with a 2020 W214 E350e. They also tried installing the tune directly via ECU pins, but it didn’t resolve the problem.

Since there’s no manual emergency release for the fuel flap, the car becomes practically undrivable if the button fails. Has anyone experienced similar issues with tuning Mercedes hybrids?

This is a safety issue of course they will do it did happen to any other car. What did the dealer say? And why did this happen after installation the tune in this "reputable" shop. I installed Brabus power box it's a plug and play.
