C240 Rear SAM Problem
Please disregard; I meant to post in 203 section.
After replacing a very dead battery my rear hatch lock cycled continuously, and the rear lights were all on for about 30 seconds as soon as I reconnected the terminal. By the time I got back around to the front of the car it stopped and now no remote locking; car cranks but does not start; display error message on cluster, fuel gauge doesn't work. Obviously a rear SAM issue but, before I send it off, I wanted to try a couple of things that I can't find an answer for.
Is there a fuse or fusible link between the battery positive terminal block and the SAM positive cable harness?
I pulled the rear SAM; if I reconnect the battery and check for 12V with my multimeter between the SAM positive cable and chassis ground, will that possibly fry anything else? I haven't checked continuity on that cable yet as I'm still not clear on which of the 5 cables on the battery terminal block runs back to the rear SAM. Does anyone know?
Any other advice from your experiences?
Thanks
