Access to Rear Bumper Void
Access to Rear Bumper Void
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to install an aftermarket rear parking sensor and want to do this without removal of the rear bumper. I have been instructed to access the void through the grommet located under the low right rear lights..
I may get there but wondering how to feed the wires.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I have installed aftermarket parking sensor into my mother-in-law's B-Class. You must be aware that you have modules on both the front and rear bumper. You may damaged a module when you drill the hole, so be careful and measure correctly.
For me, I fed the cables through the grommet that is in the rear deck. It's easier to look at it from the inside of the car than from inside the rear bumper. I did have to remove the rear bumper to make sure everything would line up by not hitting the crash bar and also making sure I could push the cables through the grommet.

Thanks for reverting. I do have the two mounting holes in the rear bumper, black trim which do not have any sensor in them. So definitely that is fine, but the sides one would need to be drilled.
Removing just the diffuser could work too, I guess.
