Rear backup camera won’t work.
I just purchased a 2016 c300. The backup camera won’t activate when car is placed in reverse. I looked in the manual and it said to set it up in the Commad system to “activate when in R gear” or something like that. Problem is that selection is not in my rear camera systems settings menu. I only have “open camera cover” which when selected will drop the camera down from the recessed position. The camera won’t display an image just up and down. I was thinking software update. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Well there are a number of fixes apparently, but none apply to me:
-Wiring within the boot lining is torn and needs soldering back together
-Fuse in the boot may be blown (NR417), small brown housing fuses in top right of fusebox
-Reset the transmission and head unit
-License plate cover may be portruding which prevents the camera from fully opening out
