Hi,

I’ve got a 2017 W205 C-Class wagon with basic seats (manual / partly electric).
I’m planning to install AMG seats with full electric adjustment, memory controls on the doors, and seat ventilation.

Before I start, I’d like to clear up a few things:

• Is the seat wiring harness the same, or does it need to be replaced with the full version for memory and ventilation?
  
• Do I need to change the door modules to the ones that support seat memory?
  
• What about coding – can it be done through Xentry/Vediamo only, or are changes needed in CGW/SAM as well?
  
• And if anyone has done this retrofit before, I’d really appreciate any wiring info, part numbers, or tips.
  

I’d like to keep the retrofit as close to OEM as possible, so any advice would be great.

Nope, you can change them. There is a video on Youtube where a guy change his seat on his W205 so you will be okay and there is no coding.
