MPG

Just have done my second refill. I use the app to see MPG which is calculated by using actual galons and miles traveled. Don't trust much car computed MPG.
It shows me 20.9 MPG of suburban driving. Since the car is new I have used all modes for some periods to get feeling of it. So it's mixed bag. Plan to stick to just one until next refill to see MPG for particular modes. Mostly to understand the difference between ECO and Comfort.

Have burned another full tank. This time have used eco mode allways. Got 22.3 mpg. It's little bit below declared 23 mpg of the city driving.

You entirely missed my point. As the new parts in the engine begin to function and get broken in, they start to work more smoothly and this raises efficiency and gas mileage, not how much gas is or isn't in the tank.

I simply added the little anecdote that technically because MPG is partially based off weight and gas is heavy, as the tank gets empty, instant gas mileage is a tiny bit better, although not a noticeable amount.

no, I understood your point and was trying (poorly) to explain that. Serg seemed to think someone was saying their MPG should be better and was confused because gas mileage doesn’t get better in one tank, and I was saying that the person was simply trying to explain that as the car gets broken in, and many months go by, gas mileage overall will increase a little.

Just finished 1000 miles trip. Was driving two day times with night sleep in the hotel in the middle. Total MPG was shown as 33.6. Last leg (freeway driving only) 35.6. Comfort mode all the way.

I don’t trust the computer so I reset the trip every time I fill up the tank. With 80% highway drive, I average 31 mpg. Sometimes more, sometimes less, I’m at 6,800 miles now.
