Wi-Fi Hotspot feature seems not working. I have purchased data plan, I can use online music and use browser in the MBUX. But when I connect other devices like tablet to the car Wi-Fi hotspot it connects but shows no internet. So it has no access to internet but connected to Wi-Fi hotspot. What do I do wrong?
Has called to T-Mobile (service provider) and they have told me right away that Wi-Fi hotspot doesn't work for new 2022 models due to some car issue.
Has called Mercedes Me Connect and they confirmed. "Thank you for contacting Mercedes me connect regarding your internet in the car (hotspot). We are currently aware of this issue and are working on a solution. I will gladly inform you when these services are working properly."
So for now hotspot is not functional. Looks like it's software issue and can be updated later. But no ETA as usual.
In-Car Wi-Fi is supposedly "activated." But in reality it is not. Do you know why in Mercedes Me that the toggle switch is faded out? Is your toggle in Mercedes Me solid blue? I saw this faded toggle only when items previously were tagged as pending?
I think it can be fixed by MBUX update only. In car Wi-Fi doesn't route traffic to ISP (which is T-Mobile for USA). It's why connected devices report "No internet connection". Same can be observed if to disconnect home Wi-Fi router from the cable or cellular modem.

Is there a Mercedes notice number that I can refer the shop to that you're aware of?
I had the exact same problem for days but I was able to fix it. I have an unlimited T-Mobile contract. I decided to get on the phone with them to help me troubleshoot. It was in the evening and the called is definitely picked up from somewhere outside the US with a very strong German accent. He asked me to verify the account and some other few things and the whole thing seems to be in order from his side. He then asked me to disconnect the internet connection in the car settings and unlink the T-Mobile from the internet. Then he asked me to re-pair it. That didn't solve my problem. What did solve it though was to ELIMINATE every single wifi connection from the internet setting and then use the button "find internet" and select exclusively the onboard internet with the T-Mobile contract. No other sources in the list. My car has no issue now connecting to the internet or my phone pairing with the Hotspot. I have good connection and speeds almost everywhere.
Hope it helps. I can take some screen pictures if you need me too. (Im away from my car as I'm typing)

What device have you used to check connection to internet via car hotspot? Phone has own cellular data link and it can use it but car hotspot. Ultimate test is to use device without cellular data link like laptop or Wi-Fi only tablet. I have done all what you have described and have none other than T-Mobile links configured. But it still shows No Interent when I connect my laptop to the car hotspot.
Also could you please clarify what does "my phone pairing with the Hotspot" mean?

I always place my cellular-capable devices into Airplane Mode which disables the cellular radio before testing the in-car Wi-Fi hotspot. I tried Heloflyer68's recommendations, but alas have not had any success.
I tested the Hotspot with phones (IOS and Android) both in airplane mode and with an android TV connected to the car USB to stream Netflix, YouTube with WiFi connected to the car Hotspot. Initially I wasn't getting any data, then I deleted every paired device and deleted every source of internet including the Tmobile link. With every device turned Off I then reconnected and linked the Tmobile internet connection as my only service. That did it for me.
Recently I have checked Wi-Fi hotspot feature. I kind of forgot about it and lost any hope that it will be fixed. But recently it has crossed my mind that I need to try it again after number of SW updates. Now it works. I can reach Internet via my car Wi-Fi hotspot. And, of course, that " I will gladly inform you when these services are working properly." has never happend. No notification whatsoever. Customer service is getting "better" every year.
