Any opinions or experience with 4Matic on the W206 or previous generations?

Salesman says it’s not needed in warm climates and strongly suggested not to order with 4Matic. I was thinking it helps in general with traction in dry and wet weather.

I think it's not really needed in no snow areas unless you want to drag race or so.

Not in the plan, I won't be doing any drag racing.

99.9% of the time it's an overkill in warm climate but if you value that "riding on rails" assurance feeling when you take a curve at high speed then you need it.
