Ordered new 2022 C Class - Need Help - Sirius not installed

Hello all. Any advice would be great. I have an order to get a new C 300 this weekend. Car has all the options I want, multimedia - nav, park assist, and Baumeister sound package. But I just realized it doesn't have the Sirius installed from the factory. Looks like there is no factory authorized install for Sirius. My mistake or the salesperson's mistake in not ordering it, makes no difference, it's not in the car.. Anyway, I always have factory Satellite radio in my cars for at least 10 years. I know about Apple Play and have the Sirius app on my phone, but don't use apple play or the app much. I'm just concerned because I don't know if app streaming works as easily and seamlessly as factory Sirius - where I just turn on car and it's on and works perfectly. And if I am using MB navigation while using the Sirius app through car play, will it conflict in terms of sound or screens. Sales manager says no worries, I can cancel and they will give me back deposit or apply it to a new 2023 order. Any advice?

If you use it everyday and want convenience, might be best to see if they can find you another car if you're patient enough. Otherwise, stick with your build and use Bluetooth audio or carplay. Using the app on carplay or Bluetooth will not conflict with MB nav, although with carplay you may actually prefer google/apple maps.

If you absolutely like your current spec but want SirusXM and don't want to look or wait for another vehicle with the potential of missing another option you have on this car that you liked, you can try the alternative method of a less seamless/less integrated solution directly from SirusXM: https://shop.siriusxm.com/radios/veh...SHOP-HP-PROMO1

Thanks for the comments. I guess I'll probably take delivery as it otherwise is a match in terms of what I am looking for. (Just used to having factory satellite radio for so many years. )

SiriusXM needs extra hardware in the car. I don't think it's available as a retrofit, unfortunately.

I stream Spotify all the time and have absolutely zero issues with it in terms of quality and it starts up when I turn the car on. I have the Sirius option in my car and never even use it.

This is way to go. You will have much better audio quality via streaming than via sattelate radio (it's really bad). The only thing is that streaming will use you phone's data plan. You may need to bump it up to unlimited if not already.

I actually have both a Sirius account in the C300 (lifetime account) and android play (pretty much the same as carplay). They both work very well and operate seamlessly. They only difference is the phone is using your phone plan and relies on cell phone towers giving a good signal. The car needs a connection to a sirius satellite but in some crowded cities it can connect to ground towers instead. Anyway, they both work fine but I would rather not rely on my phone or phone plan when I am driving. I want my car to operate independently for navigation, entertainment etc.

Many cars these days have cellular modems inside for communication perpose. So they are pretty much phones on wheels. Reception is supposed to be better though due to bigger external anttenna .

C 300
C 300 no Sirius

I'm in the same boat. I love my Sirius radio and just took delivery of my 2023 C 300. I had no idea it did not come equipped with Sirius. I thought all cars did or at least all my prior cars have.
The salesman claims that he was not aware of this.
