Dim the screens?

Maybe I'm an idiot, but...

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to dim the center screen display and the gauge cluster display at night. I have perused the manual and every menu option on the screen. I find the screens way too bright for nighttime driving and would like to dim it down since I regularly drive over 2 hours in the middle of the night.

Thanks

Haha, thanks... Yup there it is. I really did think that I had tried every menu.

And apparently you can only adjust the daytime brightness during the day, and nighttime brightness during the night. I had to go back to the car after sunset to adjust the nighttime brightness.

Try covering the light sensor near the top middle of your windshield to fool the car that it is night time.

The displays use the interior ambient light sensor that's usually somewhere in the bezel of the screens nowadays. In my C205 it's in the bottom bezel of the center screen. Keep in mind that the screens also auto dim. The brightness set in the setting is only a baseline. It'll auto dim based on actual ambient light.
