Just curious, what software version for mbux are you guys on? From what I remember, so far I have not received any notifications about installing an OTA update, either on the infotainment screen or on the Mercedes me app. Under settings -> Info -> System information, my car states: RL_NTG7_E250.403_21394AC3. Anyone on a different version?
Not all MBUX updates are done OTA. My C220d is at the dealership right now for an MBUX update, as I don't have all options available in the Mercedes Me store, that should be available for my car.
My guess is, that only minor updates are done OTA - bug fixes and such, and larger updates has to be done by the dealer.
According to the dealer, a complete MBUX update takes about 4 hours - I wouldn't trust an update of that size to be done OTA
This is my software, before the update (and I'm in Denmark - the car rolled of the production line in Germany 5. month of 2021)
Interesting, seem like there a couple of different versions people are on currently. I been having problems with CarPlay and was hoping an ota update would fix the issue. Dealer says there are no updates available that they can install, and as I said before, I have yet to receive any ota updates since purchasing the car. Guess I'm stuck for now.
I believe it's better to share the countries we are posting from. I think Mercedes has slightly different versions for different countries/regions
This is absolutely true - a lot of the extra functionality (Dashcam f.ex.) is controlled by the software versions, and not all countries has the same options. Same goes for Digital Lights and supported projections.
I'm in Denmark, and after the update of MBUX yesterday (the car is still at the dealership), my Mercedes Me app informed that there were new digital services available, and suddenly I am able to purchase Dashcam!
I'm in the usa. My car does not have the MB navigation option, so I believe I should not have received the "zero layer" update some people were talking about a few months ago, but I'm not sure about any other updates. Again, I'm on version: RL_NTG7_E250.403_21394AC3
Just got the my C220d W206 back from the dealership, with MBUX updated. I am actually a bit surprised that they didn't update the car before I picked it up a month ago, as the updated software has got the full Zero Layer options, and actually also some improvements of the traffic sign assists and the head up display.
For versions it was a big step from E023 to E329 !!
I have the 2023 W206. Anyone in the US has the ME store icon on their MBUX? I have seen many European models with that icon on theirs but mine doesn't. It might be a market restricted option.

Did you try activating it and confirming if it really doesn't have "zero layer" I think you hold and press the home button to switch.

I mean the subscriptions for the Mercedes Me Connect services that expired for many vehicles took forever to come to MBUSA since they couldn't figure out what prices to charge yet at that time. I am not surprised they need more time to figure out the prices that they want to charge for all those features in the Store in Europe considering everything, inflation, economy, vehicles sold, maybe even regulations and laws if the feature activates a vehicle function that controls the light of the vehicle (just as an example), or charging behaviour on EVs, or valet services, gas prices, something like that, etc.
The MBUX software was updated in my C300 yesterday to the latest version.
The version is now E330.602_23063AC3.
Previous version in my car was E316.505_22092AC3.
The entire system seems to have become quite a bit more responsive at least during startup than before.
Layout of the permanent part including the A/C controls have changed and the icons have changed as well.
My MBUX software was updated because Apple Carplay was very slow to initiate and resulted in black screen for a while until it was ready.
I'm going in for some issues with my driving assist system on monday (Startmark in Horsens) and when I made the appointment, they told me that there was a MBUX upgrade they want to do at the same time - my software was upgraded a month ago, but maybe there is an update again.
I just picked up my car from service and they performed a software update. Unfortunately I didn’t take note of the version pre-update.
So this should be the most recent one (US market)
Thanks for posting this. Took my car to the dealership back in May 2023 for some issues with the MBUX system - on two occasions the screen was black (remained off) and completely inoperable, then the next day it would be fine. Anyway, after sitting at the dealership for a few days the vehicle was returned to me with only the driver's assistance system software updated. (There's a recent TSB for it.) The MBUX software version remained unchanged, however (E316.505). So, I don't have much faith that what the dealership did addressed the problem with the MBUX system. I'll be returning to the dealership next month for the first maintenance visit - I'm going to ask specifically about MBUX software update this time.
