For sure, due to the shortage of amg line in Canada, we mostly see fully loaded cars without the amg line and once in a blue moon I see one with the amg line on the road and I am wowed by how close it looks like the W206 C 43.

Yeah they are very similar, the optional studio pack is what does the most to differentiate it from the C300. I heard that in Canada the AMG line on the W206 is only a body kit and does not include the lowered sport suspension or the upgraded brakes like we get here in the US. I hope that’s not the case because that would be following in BMWs recent footsteps with the G20 where the M-sport on the 330i is just a body kit. To me AMG line was worth the 4k because of how much kit, other than body panels, was changed on the car. If it’s true, the only explanation I see is that MB Canada decided to omit that because it could make the car too low for snowy winter driving, and if that’s true, that would be an acknowledgement from someone at MB that these new cars are too low!

Hmmm interesting, unless my eyes are deceiving me but it does look lower than the non amg-line. Does not get the upgraded brakes, that I can confirm however, I didn't know the USA has it on the amg line because with the 48V mild-hybrid system, you barely have to use much of the brakes, I was thinking that was the reason they removed it.

The US cars do have upgraded brakes, but they don’t seem to be the same as the C43 this time. However it was harder to see the brakes on the C300 because it had the 18s with the aero lip.

I see, as for previous generation (W205), as you know already, the W205 C 300 amg line brakes were exactly the ones in the W205 C 43, someone took them apart and compared them, the only difference is that the W205 C 300 "Mercedes-Benz" lettering on the calipers.

Just FYI, my claim was also denied from the city of Glendale, and here’s why.

The city claims that if potholes are not reported prior to the damage, the city will not pay for any claims.

Basically they’re saying bend over we got you!!!

So basically they don't have to pay for any claims, if there are no damages, what is there to pay? They are trying to outsmart citizens.

Exactly!!! If the pothole wasn’t reported to the city before the damage to the vehicle, they won’t cover it.

Now the question remains. How the heck do we report every single pothole??

I had a similar experience in Kuwait where my tire got damaged suddenly. I realized that 19-inch wheels are quite sensitive. Since that incident, I've been driving more cautiously, adopting a slower pace as if I were a new driver.

Usually downsizing tires and wheels and/or getting rid of run-flats will help. The other benefit would be increased ride comfort as well. Tire pressure is another thing that is important to keep in mind, check your tire pressures when cold and adjust it to the minimum load value on the gas fuel cap/door or add a PSI or two above that load value depending on your driving style and preference, having a good balance between ride comfort and driving/steering.
