Youtube / Netflix on W206 Screen

Hi,

Does any one know how to play YouTube/Netflix videos on the central display? I connect via hotspot, open the browser, enter YouTube and get an error every time I try to play a video.

Thanks

I'm not an expert, but from what I've read, it depends on what features you have and is possibly tied to AR for Navi. Apparently, there is a chipset difference. That may be true because you cannot add AR option to a car that already has Nav due to a missing hardware requirement (at least according to the dealer).

The browser app in car is extremely limited and likely intended for text-only websites. Many services such as HTML5 stream support (used by Netflix, YouTube, and every site you can imagine) is missing.

Use Android Auto or carplay. mbux browser is slow and tied in with car systems, so it would not let you do much.

Search playing youtube / youtube music while phone locked there are options.

I had a similar issue with streaming videos on the central display. What worked for me was casting the screen from my phone or laptop to the display. That way, I could easily play YouTube and Netflix videos without any errors. Also, you might want to check out what is YouTube automation for some cool tips. It could make your video experience even smoother!
