Active Brake Assist incorrect reaction

Other ideas? - I’ve had the system “misread” and initiate full braking incorrectly twice. In one situation, we had 2 lanes turning left and the car next to me was moving faster in its lane - when my car “saw it”, it braked hard and then released. The second situation occurred when I turned into my development and a jogger was on the opposite side of the street. Again, the system deployed, beeped, and full brake deployment with a release in a second or less. Both system mistakes and thankfully - not one behind to hit me. At the dealer now for maintenance 1 and I hear that this is a common complaint of the 2023 C300 with no fix -???

Yes, the phantom braking has been discussed already here and it has been acknowledged by Mercedes. There's an official TSB, search in the forum and you'll find it.
You need a software update from the dealership.

Thanks. The dealer did enter the program and was not able to make further changes, but confirmed that the software is current

Yes - I moved the setting to “low” and it has not occurred since. The Tech also reviewed settings and suggested low sensitivity.

Happened to me today as well, was dropping my son as school, the Lambo Urus almost rear ended me, I think his braking assist worked well. I checked my setting, thought was on minimal, but turns out it was on max sensitivity. I think it mostly happens when there is an obstacle at the left front of the car. Scary stuff though.
