Automatic front view camera?

Automatic front view camera?
I’m almost certain that my 22 c-class used to automatically bring up the front camera when approaching an object like a parking spot bump or the curve. This was really useful given the front bumper is very low to the ground. However, I just noticed the car hasn’t been doing it anymore for some time now. I’ve tried to recreate the feature by slowly driving up to my garage wall and the camera doesn’t activate. Am I misremembering this or has anyone also experienced it?

When I first picked up my car it used to do that, then I got an update and it stopped. It comes on most of the time when entering my garage, but that's all. Rest of the time I press the park button when parking and it comes on.

Mine is a 2023, I havent received any MBUX updates. It generally works, but cant say front camera pops on 100% of the time Im near a curb. Maybe something greater than 80% of the time. Few times I needed and it didnt i manually pressed the camera button and enabled the front camera myself to see.

Same here. Originally was 100% and automatic. Now about 30% of the time and I manually engage it most of the time. 2 software updates were done
