How to replace steering wheel buttons on 2016 C 300

I just bought my son a used 2016 C300, and I need to replace the worn steering wheel buttons. I already have the parts, just need to know how to get the old ones out and new ones in. From what I’ve seen I need to remove the negative terminal from the battery, and then insert a screwdriver into the left and right dimple on the steering wheel to release the airbag. That’s as far as I can find, and I’m not sure what’s underneath that I’ll have to deal with.

Anyone done this before with this model, or know of a video that shows how to disassemble the 2016 C300 steering wheel?

Remove the airbag. Remove two screws for the trim and pull the trim out of the wheel housing.
replace buttons.
once airbag is out it’s self explanatory
