In my w206 c300w4 sometimes when I'm getting on it in sport/manual mode, it will say overboost activated on the cluster for a short time while my foot is to the floor. I've only ever seen it when in manual mode. I was wondering if anyone knew if there is any other way to get that on demand. TYIA and sorry if this has been asked before, I searched and didn't see anything on it here, or anywhere else.

This is the overboost you are talking about, correct? I think if you floor the vehicle beyond the kickdown switch in automatic it should activate? If you are in sport driving mode?

 

That sounds about right! Thanks for that. The kickdown switch is weird. It's like it will push my foot back. Never knew why.

Hmmm that is strange but otherwise that should activate it, if the car is stationary and vehicle turned off use your hand and push the pedal all the way down beyond resistance and that is the click, have a feel of it with your foot as well. Eventually you will get used to it.

What it essentially is, is the pedal pushing on a button at the end.
