Question on arrival of new 2025 C300…..

If a car shows up on dealer website but they don’t have it on their lot yet does that mean the car has arrived at the port and after it goes through VPC it will get transported to the dealer soon?

They should be able tell you the allocated manufacturing timeslot and from that give you a very good indication when it will arrive.
If you are just looking at cars on their website it could mean anything. Dealerships are franchises so each could have a different policy.

No, it doesn't mean much. Once the car has a VIN it subsequently gets added to their inventory on the website, but no idea if there are manual steps involved. They get added to the website in case you as the customer for this car ends up not taking delivery. If anybody inquires about the car they'll tell them it's a sold order, but keep them in the queue so that if you don't go through with the purchase they call up others who were interested. Basically until you pay for the car, it's not yours. Your deposit secures first refusal.

this is the car I have my down payment on to secure the car. It’s the first time it showed up on their website and there was a boat from Germany that arrived yesterday in Long Beach. I live in Los Angeles. Guess it was just a coincidence it was on their website the day a boat came from Bremerhaven in Germany to the port in Long Beach where my car is set to arrive. Thanks!!!
