Standby mode issue

Hello folks
i have 2023 C300 with only 5k miles on it.. I tried to put it in standby mode but I keep getting message that the vehicle batter does not have sufficient charge to put the car in standby mode despite the app says battery charged and no error messages or codes anywhere (see pictures)

Any idea?

Interesting, did you drive it for at least 45-60 minutes before parking?

Yes… I drove it for about 4 hours (100 miles) before parking and trying to put it in standby mode

Might indeed be a software update missing.

Hello,

You can access the service menu to look at the voltage and current on both 12V and 48V batteries. You can see how to access the service menu
, which is also very helpful in resetting the service counter manually. It may take a few tries for the menu to come up instead of apply shortcut. I can't make out much from the numbers myself, however it might help you determine if the battery is charged enough.

I would recommend using a trickle charger on the battery and then retrying to enter standby mode. It will tell you on the screen how much time you have remaining in standby before the battery is depleted. A trickle charger would also solve this issue.

Thank you for the answer and the video (although the video doesn’t show how to get to the correct info I’m looking for).. I called the dealer and I’m supposed to go tomorrow to look at it again… my main concern is why after driving for a day it say battery charged then within 24 hours of being parked , it says partially charged so I’m not sure why the battery won’t hold the full charge in a matter of 24 hours?? Also, if the app shows the battery fully charged after a day of driving it should allow me to put the car in standby mode but the car continues to complain the battery not charged enough for that….
I’ve seen someone online saying the auxiliary battery maybe having issues but I’m not sure since I don’t see any errors on the car or the app
