I have noticed this for as long as I have had this car. It will intermittently stop blowing cold air. All I have to do is deselect Auto to disengage and then repress Auto and all goes back to normal. I am asking here because an intermittent issue such as this will almost never be resolved by going to the Dealer and not being able to duplicate it.

I've noticed that my AC turns off (but the fan continues to blow) when my car is stopped and the stop/ start feature has turned off the engine. If I disable the start/ stop feature then the AC will continue to run.

I've had that happen twice recently. The car is feeling warm and I see that 'Auto' is not active. Turn it back on and A/C works again.
I've had it on 'Auto' since I first got the car and it never deactivated until now.

I do not have Stop/Start enabled and in my case it is still on Auto. Somehow switches to blower and then right back on when I press Auto twice.

I have experienced this same behavior when stopping at a traffic signal and the start/stop feature activates. When I am in town driving through multiple stop lights, I disable that feature. Especially now that hot weather has arrived.

I've not seen the behavior that the OP describes.
