Engine light came on yesterday and this is the code. Could it be the fuel cap?
I can't take the car to the dealership until next week.
I had code P2402, another evap fault, come up on my 22. It was right after fueling and opening/closing the fuel cap would not resolve. I reset the code and it popped up within a day.
Dealer diagnosed and there was an electrical fault with the A101 diagnostic module in the fuel canister. The evaporator system itself was fine however the diagnostic module was replaced. I believe this is a somewhat common issue for the W206s where the evap system/lines are fine and the diagnostic module fails.

Lot of attitude there. A question was asked re that code. I Googled it and found a lot of possibles, and posted it. The original question was, could it be the gas cap. According to the link I found, there were numerous possibilities.
You can dislike me all you want, but a question was posted and I'm the one who responded with a list of possibles.
Oh, and I had a check engine light come on soon after buying my 2024 C300. The dealer suggested it was the gas cap. It wasn't. They eventually reset the system after I had the same issue three times, and determined it was an electrical system fault. Hasn't recurred since.

They replaced the fuel system control unit.
they found the pump (?) was jammed. Maybe they meant the pump module?
Now, that’s not the fuel pump, because I’ve been driving at least 150 miles with that fault, and if the fuel pump was jammed I wouldn’t have been able to run the engine.
the service rep couldn’t explain what the problem was.
However, the light is gone, the repair performed was under warranty and I am pleased.
