Any known HomeLink issues?
It has worked fine for 2.5 years with an old Genie opener and now with a 3 month old Genie unit. Stopped working today, but all other remotes and keypads work fine. Before I climb a ladder and reprogram it, are there any know issues or updates that I need to know about?

It most likely stopped working because you added new remotes. certain model of genie can only go up to 7 remotes, so every time you program new remote the last one that gets programmed gets erased. I'm not sure why they don't erase the oldest programmed ones.

There are no specific Homelink issues I've heard of with the MB Homelink module, but if you search the forum, some people had issues off and on over the years. I'm assuming you completed the rolling code synchronization properly. Did the previous GDO have a rolling code as well? New GDOs do use a different more secure protocol, but it should not cause issue in new cars. They are however incompatible with older cars and need a bridge.
One of the common issues is interference from LED bulbs in the GDO. There are GDO supported LED bulbs for this purpose, but I assume a brand new unit would already come with proper LED bulbs that don't cause interference.

Yes, I did search and found some intermittent issues, nothing recurring. Previous GDO was 20 years old (rolling code) and car had no issues with it. It has been working fine with the new one for 3 months until today Nothing has changed. Oh well, I will reprogram and see what happens.
